Partners In Crime

In a major new adaptation, the BBC is bringing Agatha Christie's acclaimed Partners In Crime novels to life with an all-star cast lead by David Walliams (Little Britain, Big School) and Jessica Raine (Call The Midwife, Wolf Hall) as Tommy and Tuppence Beresford - a husband and wife detective duo. Following its run on BBC One this summer, this thrilling six-part drama makes its home entertainment bow courtesy of RLJ Entertainment's Acorn Label. Produced by Endor Productions and Agatha Christie Productions Ltd., Partners In Crime is an action-packed, fun-filled espionage series set in 1950s London, and follows the couple as they stumble into a world of murder, undercover agents and conspiracy. Colors

Directed by the legendary Dennis Hopper, classic 1980s cop drama Colors starring Hollywood heavyweights Sean Penn and Robert Duvall makes its UK Blu-ray debut courtesy of Second Sight. Late 1980s Los Angeles, the gangs rule the streets, with the Crips and the Bloods battling to reign supreme. In a dog-eat-dog world of drugs and guns, they don't care who gets caught in the crossfire. It's blue verses red and if you're wearing the wrong colour it could cost your life. This gritty police drama was one of the first films to tackle LA gang culture and features an outstanding soundtrack from Ice T and Herbie Hancock, it comes to Blu-ray on 24 August 2015.

State Of Grace

Sean Penn gives a star turn as an undercover cop who infiltrates a local crime gang in his hometown, in the classic 90s New York gangster movie State of Grace. Also starring acting greats Ed Harris and Gary Oldman it comes to Blu-ray thanks to Second Sight. After a decade away, Terry Noonan (Sean Penn - 21 Grams) is welcomed back into the fold in his New York Irish-American neighbourhood, Hell's Kitchen. A one-time street tough, Terry is now an undercover officer tasked with getting entrenched with crime boss Frankie Flannery (Ed Harris - The Abyss), who happens to be the brother of both his best friend Jackie Flannery (Gary Oldman - The Dark Knight Rises) and old flame Kathleen Flannery (Robin Wright - House of Cards). As he rekindles old friendships and his romance with Kathleen, he starts to question his loyalties as the violence begins to escalate. With its stand out cast, gripping gritty story and striking performances, State of Grace is a must see and comes to Blu-ray on 24 August 2015.

Operation Barbarossa: The Russian German War

Operation Barbarossa: The Russian German War is an eye-opening account of the events that unfolded between the Russians and Germans on the Eastern Front during WWII. Narrated by Douglas Rein (The voice of HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey), this fascinating series, which originally aired in Canada in 1995 and features German and Russian film footage that has never before been seen outside those countries, comes to DVD on 24 August 2015. Far more than a struggle between nations, it pitted tyrant against tyrant and evil ideology against evil ideology as the lives of tens of millions were consumed by the conflict. One in 10 Russians died. One in four Poles died and whole divisions of Italians, Romanians and Hungarians disappeared without a trace. On average, 17,800 people died every single day - and the war on the Russian/German front lasted for 1,400 days.

Dancing With Crime

Classic film noir, Dancing with Crime, directed by John Paddy Carstairs (Trouble in Store, One Good Turn), makes its much-anticipated arrival on DVD for the first time since its theatrical release in 1947. Returning home from WWII, childhood friends and army comrades Dave Robinson (Bill Rowbotham - Last of the Summer Wine) and Ted Peters (Attenborough) make very different choices. Ted gets an honest job as a taxi driver, and saves for his wedding to childhood sweetheart, Joy (Sheila Sim - A Canterbury Tale). Dave, however, wants easy cash and soon becomes involved with a gang. When Dave runs into money troubles with the mob boss, and is found dead in the back of Ted's taxi, suspicions fly as Scotland Yard investigate the murder. The police suspect Dave's underworld connections, the mob suspects that Ted knows their guilt, and Ted himself suspects who the real killer might be...

Asylum

Trailblazing psychiatrist R.D. Laing changed the way mental illness was treated with his unique approach to therapy and in the early 1970s he allowed a film crew access to a group of his patients in one of the most incredible fly-on-the-wall documentaries ever made, Asylum. Now this fascinating film makes its UK DVD debut courtesy of OEG Classic Movies. With David Tennant on board to play the renowned Glasgow-born analyst Ronald David Laing in a major new biopic, this timely release gives an insight into mental illness as filmmaker Peter Robinson and his crew enter the world of the schizophrenic residents of a hospital in Archway, London. Filmed over a seven-week period the film takes us behind the doors and into the lives of mentally ill patients and Laing's controversial approach to healing them through compassion and freedom. Originally released in 1972 this groundbreaking film comes to UK DVD for the first time on 10 August 2015 complete with a slew of fascinating special features.
