Children of the Wicker Man

With his 1973 directorial debut, Robin Hardy fought to craft what would eventually be recognised as one of the greatest horror movies ever made, The Wicker Man. But for his loved ones, Hardy created a very different kind of nightmare. Art historian Dominic Hardy and filmmaker Justin Hardy explore their late father’s complicated legacy in a new documentary uncovering the personal costs of the film’s chaotic production, their father’s war with the studio British Lion, his bitter falling-out with Anthony Shaffer, the financial and sexual improprieties that tore families apart and their own lifelong traumas. Also available is the new 232-page hardcover book Children of the Wicker Man, featuring Robin Hardy’s long-unseen personal documents and photographs as well as original illustrations by Dominic Hardy. Zulu Dawn

Screen legends Burt Lancaster, Peter O’Toole, Simon Ward and Bob Hoskins lead an all-star cast in Zulu Dawn, the ‘fascinating and awesome’ (DVD Talk) prequel to the 1964 classic Zulu. In January 1879, when the Zulu King refused a list of ultimatums from officials of the British colony of Natal, the Empire declared war. Then in a series of grave tactical blunders, a garrison of 1,500 British soldiers faced 25,000 enraged Zulu warriors in what would become the most horrific disaster in British military history. Following its recent theatrical release, the brand-new 4K remastered edition is set for a new release on Limited Edition and Special Edition. The Limited Edition includes an exclusive 100-page book, double-sided poster, art cards and more than six hours of special features and is set to arrive on 25 May courtesy of Severin Films.

Cold Prey Trilogy
